English Teacher - Job Description
Position: English Teacher for Primary (Grades 1 - 5) & Middle School (Grades 6 - 9)

Hours: Regular working hours between 8:30am and 4.00pm, Monday to Friday. Some evenings or weekends may be required.
Location: The Aalam, a freedom school. #32, Kurumbapalayam Road, Kalapatti, Coimbatore -641048 (an International school offering IGCSE and IAL programmes)
Compensation & Benefits: As per standards but not a constraint for the right candidate.
Main features of the position
We are looking for passionate individuals who can mentor children at Primary / Middle school environment in our school. This post is based out of our campus located in Coimbatore. Primary function will be to help children in English language acquisition, develop strong literary skills, foster an inclusive environment, encourage intellectual curiosity and be consistent with the best of Montessori education.
Job Responsibilities
1. To facilitate English language acquisition among children of students across age groups.
2. To help children develop strong literary skills that will help children become independent explorers. To ensure that all lessons are planned & delivered with clear aims and objectives.
3. To take into account the differing ability lessons of students and differentiate work accordingly.
4. To encourage all students to be actively engaged in their own learning and in reviewing their progress.
5. To ensure that all lessons are planned & delivered with clear aims and objectives.
6. To develop in children an interest for reading across genres.
7. To encourage and foster intellectual curiosity.
8. To help organise literary events at school.
9. To formulate learning plan to cater to the needs of each individual child.
10.To contribute towards development of reusable resources.

14.Perform such other duties as the teachers and management may from time to time reasonably require.
15.Uphold the well enshrined ethos of our school and the Montessori pedagogy.
16.Willingness to attend training courses to reskill, upskill as necessary for work.
17.Maintaining student records, reports, evaluations, inventories.
18.Completing all progress monitoring and benchmark assessments on time as scheduled.
