1. Curriculum Planning & Delivery
Develop and implement engaging, inquiry-driven lessons in line with the IB MYP curriculum for Individuals and Societies, covering geography, history, economics, and civics.
Create lesson plans emphasising interdisciplinary connections, global contexts, and real-world applications.
Use diverse instructional strategies tailored to the needs of all students, including English language learners (ELLs) and those with varied learning abilities.
2. Assessment & Reporting
Design and administer assessments aligned with IB MYP criteria to evaluate conceptual understanding and inquiry skills.
Provide timely, constructive feedback to foster student growth and development.
Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress with parents and other stakeholders.
3. Classroom Environment & Student Engagement
Establish a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere that encourages respect, collaboration, and inquiry.
Engage students through discussions, debates, project-based learning, and research assignments.
Manage classroom routines effectively to maintain student engagement and support their learning journey.
4. Collaboration & Professional Development
Work with colleagues across departments to support interdisciplinary learning and share best practices.
Participate in professional development to stay current with IB MYP strategies and pedagogy.
Contribute to department meetings, curriculum development, and other school initiatives.
5. Advising & Student Support
Mentor and guide students, supporting their academic and personal development.
Offer extra help sessions to provide individualised support.
Encourage students to think critically, consider multiple perspectives, and develop as responsible global citizens.
6. School Community & Extracurricular Involvement
Actively participate in school-wide events and activities.
Lead or support extracurricular clubs and committees that align with the IB philosophy.
Uphold and promote the school’s mission, fostering a strong sense of community and international-mindedness.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor's degree in History, Geography, Economics, Social Studies, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Certification: Valid teaching certification with IB MYP Individuals and Societies training is required.
Experience: 5 years of teaching experience, preferably in IB MYP or international school settings with exposure to e-Assessment.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of the IB MYP framework and inquiry-based learning methods.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Proficiency with educational technology to support teaching and assessment.
Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective teaching practices.

Education Qualification
